Community Partnerships Class Information

Currently the TTU String Project partners with two elementary schools in the Lubbock area to offer string instruction during the schools' after school programming. These partnerships expand string instrument access to students and families in under-served areas and provide opportunities for our TTUSP staff to teach in a variety of settings.

Students who participate in string instruction through our community partnerships perform on their campuses as well as in side-by-side presentations and performances with students that attend classes on the TTU campus.

Hodges Elementary School

The Hodges Violin Club was established in the 2019-2020 school year. This partnership was made possible by the Lubbock Partnership Network, Hodges Elementary School, Lubbock ISD Fine Arts, and the TTU String Project.
