Outstanding Mentor Teacher: Growing up I had many fantastic orchestra directors, but my high school symphony director, Susan Baier inspired me to become a music educator. Throughout high school, Mrs. Baier provided performance and teaching opportunities that ultimately led to my pursuing music education in college. I taught at our district’s summer orchestra camp, as well as private lessons, and it was through both opportunities where I fell in love with teaching music.
