Private Lessons

Teachers

The TTU String Project is a teacher-training program, and the teaching faculty is comprised of graduate and undergraduate students from Texas Tech University. Our teachers have a variety of backgrounds and experience levels, but share a commitment to strengthening all aspects of their teaching both in the class and private lesson settings.

When

Students will receive ONE or THREE 30-minute private lessons per semester of enrollment (depending on the the option registered for). The Director will assign specific instructors to teach specific students. Individual teachers will coordinate lesson date, time, and location with the parent at least one week prior to the assigned week of the lesson.

Location

All private lessons are taught at the Texas Tech University School of Music in the student practice rooms or via videoconference. During the Fall semester, private lessons will NOT be scheduled on home football game days. Our building is used for Goin' Band preparations and presentations and there is no available parking. Teachers will work to avoid those days.

Private lessons will not be taught at any other location under any circumstances.
